The SCIENCE-TRUCK "LAB-ON-TOUR" travels through Westphalia
The roadshow "LAB-ON-TOUR" was initiated as part of the "Digitalise_SWF" project by Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences (HSHL) and South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences (FH SWF). Its aim is to attract new students to the universities.
There is plenty to discover in the "Lab-on-Tour":
- Cave Simulator
- Light tunnel with state-of-the-art lighting technology
- Driving simulator
- 3D model with transparent OLED display
- 3D chocolate printer
- Interactive displays
- Multifunctional room dividers
- Workspaces with seating options
Inside this innovative mobile exhibition space, the research results and projects of the seven Virtual Institutes of the "Digitalise_SWF" project are brought to life. Visitors can immerse themselves in university life and explore the research fields up close.
Whether it’s the driving simulation of the Virtual Institute for "Connected Mobility," the light tunnel from the "Innovative Lighting Technology" institute, or the functional 3D chocolate printer – research projects are presented live here. A special interactive highlight is the 3D model of the universities, displayed in a showcase with a transparent OLED screen, allowing visitors to explore the buildings and campus in miniature form.
In addition to the exhibits, the roadshow offers numerous lectures, workshops, and other events. The "LAB-ON-TOUR" will travel throughout the region for another four years and is a worthwhile visit for anyone interested.
The "Digitalise_SWF" project not only promotes the transfer of knowledge, ideas, and technologies within the region but also sparks interest in scientific and technical topics. Collaborating on this extraordinary roadshow has been an inspiring experience that we continue to support with great enthusiasm.
